The Farmhouse is the ultimate compromise between rural living and contemporary features. When we bought the farm in 2011, the farmhouse was gutted, and oak and stone floors popped in. 6 years later, we gave her a second spruce up. Bright and fresh with palettes of greys and whites, lovingly worn wooden floors, sheepskin rugs and woollen blankets, stacks of Guardswell firewood and the heart of the house- the cosy red Aga.

We’ve furnished the Farmhouse in a simple, modern country, and utilitarian fashion. With minimal clutter, and pieces that we fell in love with. Local art adorns the walls, and random crockery and cutlery fills the larder shelves. In our eyes, this is the perfect party house- whether it’s a dinner in the deliciously dark grey dining room, or somewhere to rest your worn out head after dancing the night away in the Steading.

You’ll find a fun outdoor area to take in the views and the fresh farm air- outdoor table and chairs, firepit for toasting marshmallows and a Big Green Egg (the big one! A BBQ/smoker/charcoal oven) perfect for cooking up a storm for the whole household.
